We Believe Safe Water Is a Right, Not a Privilege
Aqua-Cura was founded on a single conviction: no one should get sick—or die—because of the water they drink. We set out to build a water sterilisation system that could work anywhere, without depending on chemical supply chains, complex infrastructure, or specialised operators.
After years of research and development, we achieved exactly that. Our patented technology combines advanced UV sterilisation with multi-stage filtration to destroy bacteria, viruses, and hydrotoxins—all without a single chemical additive. The result is a fully self-contained, mobile unit that can be deployed in under an hour and produce 500 litres of safe drinking water every hour.
Today, Aqua-Cura units are operating in South Africa, the DRC, Mozambique, India, and across other regions of Africa and South Asia. Our technology has been independently verified by WaterLab, a SANAS-accredited laboratory, and meets all South African National Standards (SANS 241) for potable drinking water.
What Drives Us
Water is the most fundamental human need, yet over two billion people worldwide still lack access to safely managed drinking water. The communities most affected are often the hardest to reach—remote, off-grid, and underserved by traditional infrastructure.
That’s why we designed Aqua-Cura to be independent. Our units don’t need a municipal water connection. They don’t need chemicals. With our solar-powered option, they don’t even need fuel. They need only a freshwater source and an operator with basic training.
